Yo what’s up everybody! That’s right, Lindsay is back with a second round in Russia. She hasn’t defeated me quite yet. So I am leaving tomorrow, heading to good old O’Hare to catch a flight to Poland then on to St. Petersburg! Holla bolla. For those of you who don’t know, I will be teaching English (attempting to ha!) to some Russians who won’t know what hit them. Sorry for them, but boy are they in for a treat! OR ARE THEY?! So in preparing for Russia I have had to do some American pastimes that I won’t be able to do in the Motherland. I’ve consumed a lot of coffee, watched Jersey Shore (don’t hate), and finally got my driver’s license. 16th birthday wheeeee! I’ve been cruising in the minivan like a fly suburban soccer mom. I got my visa TODAY, which almost gave me a straight up heart attack because I KIND OF NEED IT TO GO TO RUSSIA. I am super duper flooper pumped, but also feeling like I might throw up. I suppose that’s fairly normal. It’s helpful that I’ve been there before, but STILL.
I am pumped for these reasons:
1) Seeing Mama Tanya, Papa Misha, and NATASHA again. Ahhhh wheeeee they are the best!
2) Getting better at Russian. I studied it for 4 YEARS (not months) AND went abroad, and I’m still really just so-so at it. Not a gem let me tell you, not a gem.
3) Living in a city! After growing up in Schertz, TX then moving to Northfield, MN I haven’t really experienced city life. I’ll be tearin’ up the dance flo at 4 a.m.!
4) Meeting Putin and going woolly mammoth hunting.
5) Traveling oot and aboot. I have to be out of the country in order to get my work visa, so I hope to go to Sweden…or England. Or Finland. Or Norway. Really, any of those places would be THE JAM.
Also, sorry if this post is erratic, it’s because I had a RED EYE. Do you know what that is? It’s espresso IN a cup of coffee. Isn’t that the best idea everrrr???? I think so at least. It makes me type really realllyyyyyy fast. Fun, huh?!
Ok everyone, leave me comments, read up regularly, and spread the word of my blog! Y’all are the best. Keep it real.
